Do you have trouble saving money? You know, transferring money into your savings account then transferring it back out because something has come up? I recently started using this app called Qapital for saving money towards future goals. For those who are not familiar with the app, it's used for goal setting like traveling, buying a house, or hobbies.
Well I know I do and that is why I love this app. It's perfect for people like me who have trouble saving money. With me being a single momma, saving money is really hard because one or all of my little ones almost always needs something. With all that being said, are you looking for better ways to save?
So, I've been using this app for roughly 2 weeks and some change, so far, I must admit I am pleased. I like that I'm saving without even knowing I'm saving money. I set a goal for a house down payment of $2,000 then I chose a rule to go by which is the round up rule.
The round up rule takes the change from a transaction and rounds it up to the nearest $1 or whatever number you select. My rule is rounding to the nearest $2. You can also enable push notifications on your phone to be updated of your progress without signing into the app. Here's the step-by-step:
There are a lot of other rule options to choose from, but this one works for me. It's saving the least amount and it's not leaving me wondering how I'm going to make it until my next check. Of course, I can always change my $2 to $5 for higher savings. It's your savings, so YOU make the rules.
Also since your banking accounts are connected to the app, you can easily move money in and out. So, for those like me who want to set it and forget it, then this is the app for you. Sharing is caring, so be sure to share this with anyone who know has trouble saving or looking for better ways to save!
Disclaimer: This is not an app promotion, just wanted to share something that so far has been beneficial to me.
