The Only Facebook Group You Should Join Today
It seems these days everyone is asking us to join more groups or opt-in to more lists just to get our emails. It can make you feel overwhelmed. So ask yourself this. What group is going to give you the kind of information and support you need? Which of these groups will give you value?
What makes the Rockin' Single Motherhood Community different from the rest is that it was created for single moms like YOU! It's not just another group made just for being social and being able to vent after your BD has pissed you off (if you're going to, I'm totally here for that too). It's here to inspire you, allow you to make connections both on and offline, share your excellent ideas, goals, and all your wins.
When I first starting blogging, I knew I wanted a community of my own. Not just for moms to come together and have daily rants. To build a community built on the motivation for achieving daily or weekly goals.
Emphasizing the importance of self-care for single moms because I know how easy it is to focus on our kids solely. Having other single moms come together to share their parenting tips and tricks to other struggling moms. To participate in monthly challenges that leave you feeling better. The Rockin' Single Motherhood Community Facebook group is more than just another Facebook group.
Recognizing Your Goals
In this group there will be daily prompts, one for sharing your daily or weekly goals. This prompt will usually go out at the beginning of the week to start the week off right. I've personally found that sharing my goals with others allows for them to hold me accountable for achieving them. It also helps to have your own sort of personal cheerleaders.
Sharing Tips and Advice
Every single mom's journey may be different. Some worst than others. You may have gone through something another mom has yet to face. So share it. Even if it has not been asked yet, share your tips and advice other moms may not have thought of to ask.
Not every mom knows everything. We may only know what works for our family and us. Or maybe we just haven't faced something yet. That is why this prompt is here.
Sharing and Being Acknowledged For Your Wins
Being a mom is not about getting a well done for the job you are supposed to be doing. But the fact that you are doing the job of two is amazing in itself, and I will always applaud you for the fantastic job you are doing. Even when you don't believe you are.
This prompt is here to allow you to share your wins about finishing school, promotions, or new milestones in your life. You've bought a house, share it. Able to make your first months rent? Share that too. We are here to cheer you on, wins big or small.
Getting a Good Laugh, Even On Your Worst Days
Everything in our life is not all shits and giggles. That is why we will end our week with this prompt. Laughing is such a great stress reliever. So on this prompt (and any other day) share something funny with the community so that we all can cash in on a free stress reliever. Even a little laugh on your worst days can do wonders.
In all honesty, I just really want to see you flourish. Provide a group that is made for more than just complaining (though you can), but for inspiring you to be the best version of yourself. A community that is not here for judgment because that shit will not be tolerated.
It's bad enough we can't openly discuss our struggles on our profiles without someone telling us, "This is not the place for that." What the hell, it's MY Facebook profile. Well, my friend guess what, this group is here for that.
I'm Daisha Renee; single mama, foodie, and lover of yoga. Here on my blog I write about the challenges navigating life as a single mother while suffering with depression. I also provide tips to help with overwhelm and practical solutions for single parenting.
