Happy One Year Blogiversary!
Wow! I can not believe it's been a year since I started my blog. I honestly didn't think I would make it to one year of blogging, mainly because of my depression. I'm sure you know that when depression hits, the things we once enjoyed doing become a distant memory and when depression passes we may still not be interested in our passions.
I've taken 2 or 3 weeks off from blogging from time-to-time, but surprisingly I'm always ready to dive back in like I never left. In honor of this glorious milestone. I am kicking off a FREEBIE FRIDAY Series starting today through February 23rd. So each Friday I will be giving you a new printable, no sign-up required for 72 hours only. I started blogging mainly as a outlet for my depression, but since I've started blogging I've also found that other women struggle with depression and single motherhood. A whole year later I've found that I love providing tips and free content here on my site. If you are rather new here, on how to survive the challenges of being a single mom, tips for self-care management, and how to cope with depression.. I also love providing moms like myself with FREE resources to help eliminate overwhelm and maximize productivity with the printables from my resource library.
I love the community that I've created and it will continue to grow. When I first thought about creating a community for single moms, I knew I wanted it to be free, but would provide TONS of value. I know how hard it can be to be inspired, feel comfortable sharing certain struggles and seeking advice without feeling judged. The content is bolder than most blogs, way more relatable for real moms like you, and absolutely no fluff.

These are BIG goals that will give you a daily positive mindset as well as set yourself up for a successful future, not only for you but for your children too!
Now I'm not going to lie, bringing in the New Year as a single mom can suck. For a number of reasons too. Your depression may be at its worse or getting there. You are recently single and want to avoid crowds and cute couples completely. Well, whatever your situation it's all a mess.
Now I've never brought in a New Year alone, it's just not my style. I'm super family oriented. I usually give my kids a late nap (a few hours later than their usual time) and let them stay up with the family to watch the fireworks. They love it and I love the look on their faces.
Are you struggling with the everyday overwhelm? Once becoming a mom, we stop paying attention to what we need because everyone else needs our attention. We feel this obligation to care for everyone else first that we lose sight of ourselves.
