Defining Balance for Single Moms

In this episode I talk about defining balance and what it means for you as a single mom. Living a balanced life is about integrating the most important components of your life. Making concrete choices about what NEEDS to come first. 

It points out the benefits of a balanced life, how to maintain, positive mindsets, and goal setting. As single moms, it's important to understand some of the key components involved in maintaining a balanced lifestyle. 

In this episode I talk about defining balance and what it means for you as a single mom. Living a balanced life is about integrating the most important components of your life. Making concrete choices about what NEEDS to come first. 

Defining Balance

Finding balance in life as a single mom is a very important goal. With all the things that go on in our lives, and solo moms specifically, it's important to maintain balance before your life starts feeling out of control. When your life starts feeling out of control it's usually because your needs aren't being met. 

Living a balanced life doe not mean you have to give one hundred percent of yourself one hundred percent of the time. Especially if you feel like you need to overcompensate for the absent parent. There will always be times when your personal life will collide with work, and so on. It's knowing what's most important to you and making choices based on that alone, will allow you to balance your decisions better.

 

Benefits of Maintaining Balance

Maintaining a balanced life has multiple benefits.  Key benefits of maintaining a balanced life is reduced stress, improves general health and well-being, and helps fight depression, boost your energy and by having social connections can also improve your mood. Be willing to say no to everything else, and identify your values in align your life around was truly most important be organized be organized can help reduce stress and improve your life balance. You don't have to strive for perfection. Allow more reasonable standards.

 

Have a Positive Mindset

Positive thinking or positive mindsets can give you more confidence improve your mood and even reduce the likelihood of developing conditions like hypertension depression and other stress related disorders. You can define positive thinking as positive imagery positive self-taught or general optimism.

 

Set Realistic and Achievable Goals

Don't be afraid to put something down now because of the resources you have available to you. Stop thinking about some day that might happen and change your mindset to "I could make this happen this year". When we set goals for a balanced life  be very specific the more specific your goal the more likely you are to follow through.

Also being realistic consider other plans projects and deadlines that are already set for that month. Be honest whether you actually have time for all of the goals you're setting is some of the goals can be broken down into smaller steps.
